Franck Sarfati

Overview
How do seemingly chaotic natural patterns, such as those found in cloud formations, tree branches, or rock formations, influence our perception of order and beauty in art?
Belgian artist Franck Sarfati’s ethereal porcelain microsculptures draw inspiration from nature's patterns, textures, and hues to explore themes of human connection and alienation. The meticulous process of manipulating porcelain at 2200° results in pieces that range from small adornments to full-scale installations, each making a lasting statement of style and dynamic design. Sarfati recently completed a residency in the south of France, and his artwork is held in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
