Painting is my inner need, my way of expressing one's life energy and vitality. Everything starts from the feeling of a certain monstrosity of the world of reality. My answers are in the expression of color, in the formation of relationships that I build during the creative act.
Mile Saula is a painter renowned for his unique vision and pronounced lyricism. His artistic journey delves into the unconscious mind, employing highly layered abstractions that gradually reveal contours, figures, and phenomena beyond the visible world. Saula's process begins with an exploration of the unconscious through formal aspects of painting, evolving to incorporate figures and elements outside the visible realm. His early works engaged with materials like sand, pigment, and earth, organized into abstract compositions reminiscent of shamanistic drawings of Native Americans. Throughout his career, Saula has exhibited internationally, including his first U.S. solo exhibition at Ethan Cohen Gallery in New York in 2022. His paintings, characterized by dynamic compositions and expressive brushstrokes, invite viewers to explore the depths of the human psyche and the mysteries beyond the visible world.
