In my works, I stick to the idea that color and painting form a language that can speak to the mind, the body, and to the hidden magical mysteries of souls. Color is fundamental to understanding spirits. It has magic and provokes the eye and body as if it were a material substance.
Rémy de Haenen is a French painter and sculptor best known for his acrylic tree sculptures that employ simple concepts from the natural sciences to mimic the appearance of a hologram. Trained as an engineer, de Haenen became an artist late in life. His artwork celebrates the mystical aspects of mathematics and physics. De Haenen’s artwork has been displayed in exhibitions both domestic and international and also in institutional settings including The Wall House Museum in St Barthélemy.
